Biography

Monira Kamal is a Berlin-based filmmaker with a keen sense for emotional imagery and the combination of 2D animation and live-action. Since graduating as a Diplom Animator from the Filmuniversität Babelsberg in 2014, she has worked freelance in the fields of animation, videography, and film design. In addition, she focuses on the independent production of short films, which have received international recognition and been showcased at numerous festivals. Since 2017, she has been involved with the Festival of Animation Berlin as Head of Marketing, using her creative and strategic skills to strengthen the visibility and networking of the Berlin and German animation scene.
