The FAB Dimensional exhibition is a platform for animation art outside the cinema and beyond the clearly defined and familiar framework of linear narrative films. The medium of animation itself, through its production process and artistic approach, offers many intersections with other art forms such as sculpture, games, or installations.

FAB Dimensional aims to showcase various approaches to bringing animation into physical space, initiating interaction with the audience, and inviting everyone to marvel at the possibilities that animation can open up. The exhibited works are conceived in such a way that they cannot be shown in a conventional cinema.

Back in 2017, our very first festival evening was crowned with the premiere of the live-animated audiovisual concert A New Beginning. In 2018, a screening of 360° animations in the planetarium dome was part of the competition program. In 2020, the FAB Dimensional exhibition was developed to present immersive animation experiences and invite visitors to take a closer look—or even become part of the animation experience themselves.

The fifth edition of FAB Dimensional is already being planned for 2025.
