This two-day workshop with Saman Aboutalebi is a playful, hands-on experience in visual storytelling for animation.

On Day 1, participants will draw different characters using simple geometric shapes, focusing on form and personality. Later, each participant will write a set of traits, actions, and odd objects, which will be mixed and randomly shared among the groups. Playing with these contrasting elements, each team will collaboratively shape a short story full of visual gags.

On Day 2, shifting to individual work, the story will be told without dialogue as each participant develops it into a series of key moments, creating images that capture the main beats of the narrative and bringing their own unique style to life for the final exhibition. Materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own favorite tools."
