Summer is here – and with it comes a vibrant selection of international animated shorts! From fantasy, comedy, and horror to surreal drama and imaginative storytelling, this programme brings together seven unique films from the current competition selection of the 9th Festival of Animation Berlin 2026.
Meet a sleepless man who uncovers a mysterious community hidden within his own apartment building, be swept away by a whimsical retelling of Bluebeard, dive into memories shaped by the sea and its depths, and follow the unlikely friendship between a lonely sauerkraut and a hungry duck.
