Sketching in Motion
| Part 3 / 3
Exploring urban settings, graphic materials and colour through sketch-based animation

Description
How can a place become animation? In this workshop with Natalia Mirzoyan, participants explore the link between outdoor sketching, setting and movement. We will draw in the surrounding city environment, observing streets, architecture, people, textures, colours and accidental details. These sketches will become raw material for short animated fragments or loops. We will experiment with pencils, ink, brush pens, acrylic markers and mixed materials, focusing on line, shape, texture, composition and colour. The aim is not to copy reality, but to transform the observed setting into a personal animated world through improvisation, material accidents and visual rhythm.
