Bathing in Rilke

Marking the 100th anniversary of Rainer Maria Rilke’s death, fragments from his work inspire music, text, sound and moving image. The machine world, exhaustion and longing for nature are removed from their original contexts and transferred into new sonic and visual relations. Rilke’s imagery appears as a resonant space for experiences that remain present: longings, anxieties and the question of what it means to be human in a constantly changing world. From language, piano tones, sound textures and projection, an open scenographic space emerges, inviting the audience to dwell, listen closely and immerse themselves.
