Representing Sound

Two short workshops will be held over two days. One is "Animation Circus" and the other is "Polyrhythm". Both workshops are based on the relationship between sound and animated images. You are free to decide whether you want to participate in both or just one of them. In "Animation Circus", randomly selected sound effects will be expressed using animated movements. The aim is to synchronize sound and movement in a synesthetic way. In "Polyrhythm", you will create three characters and calibrate the screen to match three rhythmic sounds. The difference in rhythm will create an animation with a narrative quality.
