Daniel's Story

"Daniel’s Story" is an animated educational film developed by Yaka Hara and Tom Rosenberg in collaboration with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM). The film is adapted from the USHMM’s exhibition, "Daniel’s Story: Remember The Children", which introduces young people to the history of the Holocaust. The film follows Daniel, a young German Jewish boy, through his experiences during the Holocaust. Daniel is a composite character based on the stories of real children during the Holocaust. It stays true to the original exhibition's narrative – carefully developed by historians and educators – while adapting the material for a short film.
