11th Long Night of Berlin Filmfestivals

The Long Night of Berlin Film Festivals is a collective celebration of the capital’s diverse festival scene. Dozens of Berlin-based festivals present hand-picked highlights in a single evening – from gripping documentaries to bold indie productions. The Festival of Animation Berlin contributes a special piece of animated artistry, showcasing the creativity, variety, and surprise the medium can offer.

festiwelt, as an association and network of over 20 member festivals, has been persistently advocating for cultural policy with the Berlin Senate and Parliament for years. This is because many of the festivals receive no funding from the city – even though their initiators contribute a great deal to Berlin’s cultural landscape, bring guests from all over the world, fill cinemas, and show films to Berlin audiences that would not otherwise be seen anywhere else.
